The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers District No. 9 Pension Plan is a multiemployer, collectively bargained money purchase defined contribution pension plan qualified under Section 401(a) of the Internal Revenue Code that provides retirement benefits for Participants.

The Plan is managed by a joint labor-management Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees has retained a Plan Administrator which is responsible for the administration of the Plan. The Summary Plan Description provides all details.

Starting January 1, 2025, the William C. Earhart Company (“Earhart”) will take over administrative services for the I.B.E.W District. No. 9 Pension Plan (“the Plan”) as described in the announcement and in the educational workshop. Principal will continue to be the Plan’s recordkeeper. Principal’s ID Number for the District No 9 Pension Plan is (3)54801. Your ID Number is your social security number, and the Plan number is (3)54801. For questions about your Plan account, a Principal representative can be reached at 800-547-7754. Account access is at https://www.principal.com where participants can:

  • Transfer funds
  • Change investment elections
  • View contribution history
  • View quarterly statements
  • Use Principal’s online retirement planning feature
